Acceptable Use Policy – Messaging Features

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) applies to the use of messaging features offered by Teamgo Pty Ltd (“Teamgo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) as part of the Teamgo Visitor Management platform, accessible via www.teamgo.co. This Policy forms part of and is incorporated by reference into the Teamgo Terms of Service and applies to all Customers and Users who access or utilise messaging features, including those on trial or paid subscription plans.

1. Scope of Messaging Services

Teamgo’s messaging features may include, but are not limited to:

  • Email notifications
  • SMS (Short Message Service) text messages
  • Push notifications via the Teamgo Pass mobile application (iOS and Android)
  • Integrations with third-party messaging platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and others

 

These features are provided to support core visitor and workplace management functions, including but not limited to visitor check-in notifications, host alerts, emergency communications, and operational messages.

2. Permitted Usage

Customers may use messaging features solely for lawful purposes and only in connection with the operation of the Teamgo platform. Permitted use includes sending messages:

  • To notify hosts of visitor arrivals
  • For visitor pre-registration and check-in processes
  • For emergency or safety alerts
  • For workplace communications directly linked to visitor management

 

Any other use must be expressly authorised in writing by Teamgo.

3. SMS Usage Terms

SMS messaging is included as an unmetered feature on applicable Teamgo plans. No per-message fees apply; usage is included within the Customer’s monthly or annual subscription fee.

However, in order to ensure fair use and service integrity:

  • Teamgo reserves the right to monitor SMS usage across all Customer accounts.
  • If usage is significantly higher than industry norms or peer benchmarks, or appears inconsistent with intended platform use, Teamgo may:
    • Notify the Customer of unusual or excessive activity;
    • Require the Customer to modify usage behaviour;
    • Impose additional charges if usage exceeds fair and reasonable limits;
    • Suspend or disable SMS functionality in cases of persistent or severe non-compliance.

 

Examples of prohibited SMS usage include but are not limited to:

  • Sending bulk unsolicited messages;
  • Use of SMS for marketing, advertising, or promotional campaigns;
  • Messages unrelated to Teamgo visitor or workplace management activities;
  • Use of SMS for personal, non-organisational purposes.

 

4. Prohibited Conduct (All Messaging Types)

Customers must not use any Teamgo messaging functionality to:

  • Transmit any message that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;
  • Send spam, phishing attempts, or deceptive communications;
  • Engage in unauthorised use of recipient contact details;
  • Misrepresent identity or sender information;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Teamgo platform or related services;
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulatory obligations (including, without limitation, spam and privacy laws).

 

5. Monitoring, Enforcement and Suspension

Teamgo may monitor Customer use of messaging features to ensure compliance with this Policy. Where a breach is identified, Teamgo may, at its sole discretion:

  • Issue a formal notice of non-compliance;
  • Suspend or limit access to messaging features;
  • Recover applicable overage fees or damages incurred;
  • Terminate the Customer’s access to the Teamgo platform in accordance with the Terms of Service.

 

6. Amendments

Teamgo reserves the right to modify or update this Policy at any time. Any material changes will be communicated to Customers through the platform or via email. Continued use of messaging features after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
